Man Ray

 
Man ray an American visual artist who spent most of his career in Paris. He died 1976 but the legacy will remain to live on because of his photography work. Above is a painting by Man Ray called "Glass Tears". The photo is in black and white, the title could create a sense of thinking is there real tears or really glass tears. Immediately my attention went to the "tears" and the dark eye lashes that are on the models face. I thought why is the woman looking up, is she in distress? The model is not real it is a fashion mannequin with glass beads on its cheeks. 
What makes his work so unique is the difference of reality in his art. His work is very detailed and makes it look like it is not a drawing. His work is very different from other art.
